Kith and Kin Educational Schools on The Tree Planting Exercise
SPEECH DELIVERED ON TREE PLANTING EXERCISE CARRIED OUT BY KITH AND KIN EDUCATIONAL SCHOOLS ON THE 3RD OCTOBER, 2008. DEFINITION: Tree planting is the process of transplanting tree seedlings, generally for forestyr, land reclamation or land scaping purposes. TREE PLANTING DAY: It is statutory festival which is set aside to inspire people's passion for planting and protecting trees, to increase the areas covered by forest, and to protect the natural environment on which people depend for their living. KITH AND KIN AND TREE PLANTING: Today, 3rd October, 2008 is set aside by Kith and Kin to inspire our students and staff the passion for planting and protecting trees in order to protect the natural environmenton which our people depend for their living. IMPORTANCE OF TREE PLANTING: This can be categorized into three: i. Environmental/Ecological Value ii. Economic Value iii. Biological Value CONCLUSION: From all mentioned, one can conclude that the importance of tree planting can not be over emphasized. As a school, Kith and Kin deems it fit to promote Tree Planting. We feel like contributing our quota to the development of our dear state and nation, Lagos and Nigeria at large. Teachers and students of Kith and Kin plant enthusiastically tody with the mind set that we are giving life to our environment which is the basic representation of Kith and Kin in today's world.
